As part of Jonesville RiverFest, the Grosvenor House Museum Tours & Living History Encampment will be open on Saturday. Admission is by donation.
This stunning 32-room mansion was built from 1872 to 1874 for Ebenezer and Sally Ann Grosvenor — just the two of them. Designed by Elijah E. Myers, the same architect behind Michigan’s Capitol, the home was packed with forward-thinking features for its time: centralized heating, indoor plumbing, flush toilets, and carbide gas lighting.
Take a tour, soak up the rich history, and enjoy live music throughout the day from the Back Porch String Band, performing inside the house. And don’t forget to grab a Grosvenor House Christmas ornament for $10.
Come see why this 150-year-old treasure is still turning heads!
